A lot of loose and often overgrown paths lead through a sparsely populated landscape of the Hocheifel - alternately over open pastures or wooded creek valleys. The highest point of the route can be found south of Schnorrenberg at the nearby Bärbelkreuz. The entire route makes you go through a lot of altidude differences partly because of steep and long climbs.

Parking lots are available at the Wildenburg, in Reifferscheid or at the Bärbelkreuz (radio mast).
